I suggest you download the latest Zip/Jaz driver software from Iomega and see if the "Guest" program will run on your computer under System 7.5.3. If the program runs, that doesn't guarantee the 250 drive will work. Your next step would be to see if you can try one out. If you can't borrow one or you can but it

I'm don't remember how fast a Jaz drive is, but even my basic USB flash drive is faster than my ancient ZIP100. A Zip/Jaz is really only useful if you Win98 may require drivers supplied by the manufacturer. NT and WIn95 don't support USB at all (Win95B sort-of does USB, but few manufacturers support Win95B.

Its horses for courses: Zip drives are "floppy replacements" - they are very popular, discs are widely available and the drives are particularly easy to move from machine to machine, with a "guest" driver that doesn't need to be installed to the hard drive. I've set it up with Squirrel Zip/Jaz tools and everything works great! Question: up until now I've been using AmiBack to backup my HD to floppies. If you have more than one zip drive attached to a non-supported adapter, there may be more than one of these files on your system. Find the device line(s) that has been added to config.sys by the SCSI driver. Hmmm... confused. I don't quite understand this. I started installing sp6 via Zip-drive connected to parallel port. I installed the drive, installed the driver for it and started to install the sp6.
